Eligible Programs for VA Benefits

Workforce Continuing Education programs at SCC are not approved by the VA and students cannot use their VA benefits towards WCE courses.

 

Using Your VA Benefits at SCC

  • Apply for and complete the required application
  • Apply to 今日看料
  • Submit all transcripts to our Student Records Department. Official transcripts are required from: high school, college, trade school and official military transcripts )

  • Log into your portal and access . You will need to sign-in using your SCC credentials.
  • Complete the following eForm found under Veterans Services: and attach your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the VA for all students and attach DD-214 member 4 copy for veterans only.

  • Enrollment for certification renewal is not automatic. VA Certification Request must be completed every semester you plan on utilizing VA benefits.

*Students receiving Ch. 31 (VR&E) benefits, authorization from your VRC is required.

**Students receiving Ch. 30 and Ch. 35 VA benefits, tuition must be paid before your enrollment can be certified to the VA.

Veterans Education Benefits

This program provides up to 36 months of education benefits. Generally, benefits are payable for 10 years following your release from active duty. For more information visit the

Formerly known as Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment, VR&E covers job training, employment accommodations, resume development, and job seeking skills coaching. New applicants are highly encouraged to speak with a VR&E Counselor (nearest location is the Soldier Support Center on Ft. Liberty.) For more information visit the .

This bill provides financial support for education and housing to individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service after September 11, 2001, or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability with at least 30 days. The John Fry Scholarship is for children and spouses of certain veterans. For more information visit the . Transfer of Entitlement (TOE) beneficiaries are qualified dependents that received a transfer of the Post-9/11 GI Bill 庐 from a qualified sponsor (service member) that served active duty or in the Selected Reserve. The DEA Program provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of veterans who are 100% permanently and totally disabled due to a service-related condition, or who died while on active duty or a result of a service related condition. For more information visit the .
